Capture One 22 - Wireless tethering internal error (Canon R6)

Hi there,

I've already written af support ticket last week, with no answer so I'll try in here for some help.

We've been users of Capture One since version 2.0, but lately theres been a variety of issues with the newer versions. This one is regarding the new CO 22, excited to try wireless tethering with the Canon R6 + a supported lens.

However despite trying to follow Capture Ones own youtube guide, we've had no success in connecting the camera wirelessly to Capture One 22 on our 2020 Mac Mini M1 with the newest firmware both on the computer and on the camera.

We can create a succesfull connection between the camera and EOS Utility 3, but in Capture One 22 it says "No lens information" followed by the error "Tethering, internal error 11".

We have tried multiple workarounds with no result.

- Newest firmware on MAC (12.0.1) and camera (15.0)

- Connected to the same network as shown in the guide

- Enabled Wireless/LAN in CO 22 settings

Can someone please help?

  No help to give, but having errors as well using Capture One 22 15.0.0.192 on a MBP 13" Core i7 OS X 11.6.2 and a 1DX III and WFT-E9A. Attempted with two different wifi base stations but neither worked. Camera connects to the computer fine, but not to Capture One 22. Excited for the possibility but so far not working.

  After 9 days still no reply from you regarding the issue wireless tethering in Capture One 22.

  Then can we expect a reply?

  Canon r5 user here. I am also having the same issue. I can successfully connect wireless with EOS Utility however Capture One, despite seeing the camera, cannot connect to it, stating a Tethering, internal error and that apparently the Canon r5 is busy.

  This of course is no true and exceedingly frustrating considering how. such we pay for this software. Please address this issue!!!

  Same problem using Canon R5 on Mac Os Ventura and C1 23.

  I have the same problem and can not use wireless tethering with R5 using a Macbook Pro M1. it returns an internal error.

  Please check if you are not on 14.2 and Capture One 16.3: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/15423070186269 - this might be a different problem than this thread is about, unless you did due dilligence and actually have 15.x, which is not true for several recent posters...
