Copying 140'000 pics in several folders and the catalog to a external HD

Is there a reasonable way to obtain the connection between pics and catalog?

  Yes very easy (following is for the Windows version but I assume it's similar on Mac): move your files (outside C1), then open your catalog. In Library, right click the main folder and select Locate. Then select the new location, and everything should work as normal again.

  On Mac <Locate> is missed in Capture 22. Phase One says, they know the problem...

  (If <Locate> is in german <Finde...>: You can connect your catalog with the one on the externe HD but all pics / previews must be imported again.)
