tether with Canon R5C
I’m wondering if I can tether with Canon R5C with latest Capture one. Is Capture one updated to capture still images with new camera as tethering.
Please let me if someone know about this updates.
Thanks.

Capture One doesn't keep this stuff a secret:

So sad that there is still no support for the R5C.

+1 for R5C support and wish for faster updates supporting new cameras, but @Bernd, maybe this is your first time as an early adopter? Even LR/ACR doesn't support R5C yet, and Adobe is generally much faster than C1 to support new makes/models. Waiting for C1/LR/ACR updates is par for the course for people first in line for the newest camera. For now, enjoy your R5C and shoot RAW + JPG so you can post later, and be happy no such similar issue when it comes to video formats and NLEs. Anybody's guess how long for tether support. Presumably, you bought the R5C because you're a video-first hybrid shooter. If not, maybe R5 is a better option? I predict a lot of used R5C cameras will be going up for sale once people realize what they've given up relative to the R5. The R5C is a niche camera that has mass appeal -- for the moment.

I, too think it feels very far out in the future they are planning to implement this. at the moment, this new camera is basically bricked with use of C1. A big bummer!
Roland: No, Adobe has support. I can easily edit with camera raw and bridge etc.

@Roland:
Adobe Lightroom already supports R5 C:
https://helpx.adobe.com/de/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.htmlDoing the RAW file editing later may be a solution for a hobby photographer but not for those who have to meet production deadlines.
I decided to buy the R5 C because it's a professional camera in both worlds, video and photography. And I'm still sure it was the best decision.
But as a photographer I love to work with Capture One.
Capture One confirmed that R5 C support will come. They are working on it.
Hope it will be soon.0 -
@viktor, I stand corrected. Indeed latest LR update has R5C support. Just applied, thank you.
@bernd, I hear you :-) I tend to stay current on gear, so for me, the biggest downside of C1 relative to competition has always been how long it takes for updates to come out supporting the latest camera releases. As previously noted, Adobe has always done a much better job in this regard, and it's something I've come to expect from C1 (long time taken when it comes to supporting new cameras) so I factor that in when buying new gear since I primarily use C1. C1 says R5 C support coming July 2022, so safe to assume that will include RAW file support. I don't ever assume tethering, but since R5 is supported pretty good chance R5C will be too.
