select a subject or a sky

If you intended to attach an image, you didn't. However, I have seen what I think is your image with the same query on one of the Facebook groups.
Have you tried the magic brush to select the background?

Thanks Ian for your tip! I forgot about Magic Brush. It is indeed a bit quicker, but not always working becuase of the white shirts.
Really hope to get the AI selection like LR in the future

YES!! We need something like LR select subject/sky!!

Subject selection would be a game changer for me and Capture One...The magic brush is just not a good tool for portrait photographers. And since we're perfecting Capture One, let's work on the UI of the styles.

If capture one lacks one thing from being THE top choice compared to Lightroom it’s the AI based select subject.. hope it gets addressed soon

Another vote for select subject! This works so nicely in Photoshop Elements that I also use, but the ability to do it in RAW would be AMAZING!

this is becoming a real differentiator , when select subject was only in PS and not accurate - i worked mostly in CP1 and just went to PS on specific needs - now i found the new ACR selections to be very powerfull and draw me out of CP1 in many edits

One more vote for a select subject tool on C1! The sooner the better!
As of now I'm doing most of my work in LR due to the fact that select subject is lacking in C1.1 -
CP1 used to be my primary raw processor for years but surprisingly I haven’t opened it in the last couple of months. Most of my workflow is back to LR. I don’t think I’ll renew my subscription !
