The ability to be able to fully undock the browser (the thumbnails) and tabbed tools from the main window

Yes. I would love to be able to open a browser on my secondary monitor, instead of a viewer. A viewer is great for tethering, but not for processing.

    Main monitor: Viewer + Tools

    Secondary monitor: Browser

    HI Kevin!
This has been possible for years. Simply arrange the windows as you wish.My secondary monitor is most of the time the browser. Just add the workspace icon to the menu bar and load the workspace as you like.. or save you custom one. Best Andi

Just spent half an hour digging through every setting. Absolutely cannot make this happen. At least not on Windows. I can have my second monitor be a second Viewer but not a Browser (thumbnail grid). I cannot undock the browser; it can only be in the main application window. I cannot turn tools on in the floating Viewer either, only in the primary application window.

There was another comment by EtMRS, which I received in my email who wrote:

You have it ! Select workspace/large browser and you have a monitor with full browser  and a monitor with viewer+tools.

That comment looks like it's been deleted by the author, since maybe they were confusing Viewer with Browser. I want/need to be able to see the Browser (thumbnails) on my second monitor so I can quickly move between images on my primary monitor.

Well, I'm a busy, working photographer. I can't always reply to forum posts in under a week.

I would love to see some screenshots or a video outlining this. I've been using c1 for 8 years and cannot make this happen. The workspace setting you referenced does not exist for me. There is a setting for Large Viewer, but not for Large Browser.

As you can see, I can have a second VIEWER, but not a second BROWSER.

    Here we go.

Can you drag the windows? or is the right window locked?

Andreas, thank you for showing me this. It must be a macOS only feature because I cannot add the Tools to my Viewer, nor can I add the Browser. So, most definitely not available for me.

So, once again, adding my +1 to this feature request because it seems to exist for macOS but not Windows.

Ok now place the viewer to the left the browser on the right save the workspace done.  Click on the Viewer Window Press control + T to Enable the Tools. You can also drag the Tools to become floating.

No, because, as I mentioned, I can't bring up any Tools in the viewer. the Tools would only be available on the second monitor with the browser.

As I mentioned in the original comment, I need:

    Mon. #1: Tools + Viewer

    Mon #2: Browser.

That is just not possible on Windows.

Sure you can bring up Tools to the Viewer the Limitation of the viewer is no Grid. I Think is Control + T on windows. You can also make the tools floating. I am using the German version on a Mac.

You're on a Mac. I am not. I CANNOT bring up the Tools on the Viewer. I just can't. It's not possible. That's why this feature request exists. As you can see from an image I posted above, I also do not have the "Dual Monitor - Large Browser" option in workspaces. It's clearly a difference in Mac versus Windows versions of the software.

If you want to see for yourself, find a Windows-based computer, try it out, and then come back.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Now you see how frustrating this is.

    Cheers.

This is fullscreen Mode on a Mac. If you move your courser over the arrows / edge of the screen, the tools will appear on the left and Browser-Grid on the right.

Apologies for the slow reply, i am either shooting or editing day and night at the moment

It looks like Mac and Windows are different here...

@EtMRS - We should have done that sooner. Lily said:

    Hi Alan,

    Thank you for the comment.

Indeed, the workspace Dual Monitor - Large Browser is not available in Capture One for Windows.

Thus, I will submit your suggestion as a feature request to the Product Management team.

And that was TWO YEARS AGO.
