Can't open Capture One 22
MacBook Pro 15" 2018 running OS 10.14.6 Mojave
Just downloaded Capture One 22 from here: https://www.captureone.com/en/account/download/capture-one-express-for-sony but can't get it to open. First I get the error message "Unable to find database" then "Choose Capture One Catalog".
Do I have to create a database and catalog? How do I do that please?

Lists Mac requirements as needing 10.15 Catalina. Try upgrading to 10.15 and maybe it'll work. That is what I run and C1 works for me.
You shouldn't have to create anything for it to open and run, you'll create a catalog when you begin to import photos.

OK, I have un installed C1, updated to Catalina (10.16.7)
Now to re install the Capture One program.
When does one create the catalog/database it asks for when first opening the program please, is it during installation?

I have now re installed C1. When I open C1 I get several error messages. First this:

then it opened the program. Is this what it's supposed to look like?

Ah, sounds good! Is there a sequence one should use ie sharpness, brightness, colour etc or doesn't it matter?
Did just import a pix and played with it. I guess it's a case of practice, practice......

You'll find a routine that works for you with enough use and practice, good thing about C1 is there is a lot of customization with tool placement and workspaces.

Why do I always see this error message when I start C1 and why do I always have to "find" the catalogue?

You might want to open a ticket with capture one. It’ll take them a while to get back to you though so I would also run through your preferences and maybe look at the default catalogue location and change it to where your catalogue actually is maybe. First ticket I had took them two months to even reply back. I have two open now for a week or so and nothing yet. They’ll blame it on the fact their support team is in Ukraine and the war is affecting their times. Truly awful that is happening to them. Best of luck.

Agghhh! It's stoped working! All the tool sliders are grey and nothing works. Any idea what's happened please?
