Hasselblad X2D
HELLO THERE
I need a solid and frank answer on this topic. what are the plans to support Hasselblad medium format in the future ? I am about to use a hell off a lot of money on the X2D system, but not being able to use capture one with these files are a major bummer .. you would do yourself and a lot of photographers who support your product a huge favour, if you decided to support this system. You do support fuji medium format, so I do not really see the problem here. According to thye CEO of Hasselblad, this decision is entirely up to YOU.
Please give me some good news - I do not wish to change my workflow.

You can find our answer on the matter in the article below

Bad news, I participated Hasselblad X2D event today and someone asked about Capture One Pro. The answer was, NO. Hasselblad is not interested in Capture One Pro. The manager clearly said that and being negative about it. Also, Phase One refused to allow X2D to support on Capture One Pro. So since both Hasselblad and Phase One are not willing, I dont think it's gonna be supported forever especially since Hasselblad has their own software to keep.

There is a workaround, just google it. Not good, not fast.. but it does the trick. Anyway Hasselblad's software "is needed" for lens correction and clearly the obvious raw development software for Hasselblad RAW format. So if you need the magic of C1, first develop in Phocus then export, do xyz and import in C1. As said, not comfortable, but it works. Btw, I did not try to import with the workaround directly from SD card or from the cameras SSD (in case of X2D). But should work too.

I was told that it’s up to capture one to support it or not.
When the rumors about the X2D emerged, it was mentioned that C1 support was coming… since all the other specs where spot on I hope this last bit is correct too!!

I believe the work around involves a Metadata Editor. Based on my experiences with the X1Dii, you need to change the manufacturer from "Hasselblad" to "Hasselbla" and make sure the file a DNG. Export from Phocus after you do your profile corrections and export to a DNG. It's time consuming an annoying that Phase One and Hasselblad cannot get along, but so is the way of the world. Hope this helps!
