Crop defaulting to original

I see Aspect Ratio Behaviour and this doesn't seem to have anything to do with having an Original or Unconstrained Crop.  I've played with ARB and it doesn't seem to do much of anything.

So I'm still having this problem of the "Original" default, and it slows down my workflow considerably.

Sorry, I have the german Version, but I think it is self explaining.

Original is the default, but if you set the option in Preferences to Use Global Aspect Ratio, then change any one image to unconstrained, it will stay on unconstrained for every image you move to, until you select a different ratio.

Ian, I had the same problem, but had no clue what "Use Global Aspect Ratio" means. I suppose "Global" means something about the crop being used for all images as last selected. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction.

Yes thank you very much.  Having said that why does Capture One cloud this issue with something as obscure as "Global Aspect Ratio"?  A check mark next to Original, or Unconstrained, or a specific size, in order to define the default would have been all it took.  Why say "Go ye forth and multiply" when another two words are much more direct and specific.
