23 Pricing
Very disappointed in the upgrade pricing. Going to pass. Please don't price yourselves out of current users. Love the software but may have to find an alternative post software.

I completely agree with you. The software is becoming very over priced.

Meh.
Capture One isn't a charity. If you can't afford the software, don't buy it.
It's that simple.
But - to be clear - whining about it here won't change a thing.

Keith R - We're not asking for free handouts. We're complaining that they raise the price with no justification and they're not showing any respect to the users that have been keeping this company afloat for sometime now, while claiming they're offering us a discount for an upgrade that's not there. And I believe you're right that for many of us, we are not going to buy this software again is it is now. And because obviously you're a capitalist, you would know that because we are choosing not to throw our money away at a company that has chosen show no respect for us, the price is going get even higher for you... I hope you really appreciate this software.

‘we already bought the software, now we only want the 10% of new code, why should we pay 40-50% for that. Not to mention some of the features were just bugs, like adding variants to albums.Hoping management will become reasonable, maybe whining will work, at least management will know why we aren’t upgrading. Really this is not much of an update, should be free.

I actually came back to this forum after a while and everything I read here is "this is too expensive".
This costs around 15$ a month (pending currency, location, you mileage will vary. Where I live it's less than 10$ a month). For that money, I can not get Adobe. I can not get to the movies once a month. And it saves me hours of time compared to some of the other tools (I personally do not like Lightroom one bit, I find that DxO is not good enough etc). I pay more money for Disney+ to see some "less than stellar" star wars shows. I pay a lot more for Netflix.
Put it into perspective. You either are using the software and then, consider how much this is vs the alternatives. If it does not work out for you, buy something else, and more power to you. Or you are not. And then of course, it's all too expensive.
Arguing that "it's that expensive but they only touched 10% of the code" - that's really... I have no words...

I understand what you are saying, you are just not saying anything reasonable. This is pocket change in terms of professional software, and while you are complaining you are not pointing out any better priced alternative. If that would exist, sure, I would leave. I am not married to software in general.
I have no idea if people are leaving captureOne in droves, and I don't know if they are doing it because of the pricing. All I know is that every time they have a new version, it is the same argument (just go back in to the 22 or 21 or any older folder). I would think that by now everyone would be gone for better pastures, if they would exist.
