Focus Mask not Displaying
I'm new to Capture one. I just imported my first set of photos and I have the focus mask toggled on and none of my images show any green highlights. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I've checked the Focus Mask preferences and all of the images that I've imported and no light green highlight is found. I am an inexperienced photographer but I have a hard time believing that there's not a focus point on any of my images.
What can I do or check to get this working?
Thank you!

Are you working with raw files? I believe it only works with raws.

The focus mask is only displayed for RAW images. Focus mask is not displayed for JPG images

In my experience the focus mask is pretty hit and miss. The functionality seems to work on the basis of detecting contrasting edges (which makes sense when you no longer can apply phase detection). This means out of focus but contrasting/fine detail subjects like grass, leaves, hair or rocks show up as 'sharp' and sharp but evenly coloured surfaces without micro contrast do not. The issue becomes really obvious when you have both in the same focal plane and one turns green while the other does not.
In edit > preferences > Focus you can lower the threshold which helps a bit. The bar is a bit high by default... or my (travel) zoom is simply not up to C1's high standards :)
