C1 crashes randomly while importing SD cards - "capture one has unexpectedly stopped working"

Hello everyone,

I am using: Capture One 22 Pro - 15.3.0.100 on the latest Mac 16" M1 and I have a reoccuring problem while exporting SD cards via Import dialog in Capture.

Whenever I download my cards, C1 randomly stops completely and is giving me a "capture one has unexpectedly stopped working" message.

It has been working perfectly the whole last year but around November last year I started to get these messages. Now it happens to a point where it quits 6/10 times.

I have seen multiple threads regarding this topic but noone seems to have an answer to this problem.

Hope someone can finally give me a hint on how to prevent it from happening.

  Hi Peter,

  How do you import your SD card ? Is it through the SD card reader of the Mac, or through an independant card reader connected to the Mac, or through a cable connected to your camera ? Furthermore, there is a 15.4.3 version of Capture One 22. It could be worth trying it.

  Hey, I have a Prograde Dual SD cardreader. But I have also tried using the internal mac sd reader, same outcome.

  I am using the 15.4.3 version, I only selected the wrong version on the dropdown menu of this thread.

  Hey SFA,

  It works flawless when you download to harddrive first and then add the folder in capture.

  I format my cards in-camera before the next shoot.
