I had a similar problem a few years ago.  This is what worked for me.

Do the application icons appear next to the application names when exporting or in the "preferences" - "plugins" dialog window?  If not, do this:   1. close C1   2. in File Explorer right-click on an image other than a raw file (TIF, JPG, etc.)   3. select "open with" and select the application that is missing the icon; you may have to search several layers deep "choose another app", "more apps", etc. to find the app   4. once the app opens with the image, you can close the app and see if the app icon now appears.  If so, it should now work when exporting from C1.  What you're doing is showing Windows and/or C1 how to associate the image type with the app.

    Hope this helps.

Thx for your answers. I did not update anything when the problem ocured. Updated C1 with a minor update to the latest C22 Version afterwards. The application is correctly identified (actually suddenly all integrated applications that worked berfore were not properly called e.g. IrfanViw, Affinity or MS Photo)

@Robert: yes, the file extensions were also correctly assigned to the applications. A doubleclick on the correctly exported file does launch the correct application ...

But do the icons appear in C1?

Double-clicking is not the same as the File Explorer "open with" process I described above.  Double-clicking in File Explorer only demonstrates that Windows has a file extension association; double-clicking also worked for me.  It wasn't until I went through the File Explorer "open with" process that the icons appeared in C1 and the selected external application opened the exported files when selecting "edit with" and "open with" in C1.

Had the same issue and found I needed to reset the default apps.

Go to settings, Apps, Default apps, reset all default apps, reset.

Restart your computer, and C1 should then work.
