What is the true of subscription and perpetual License after 14 February 2023 r?
Hi
A lot of portals wrote about new Annual Subscription rules.
From 14 february 2023, the subscription working on one version only. 16.x ...
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/7998068628637-Changes-to-the-way-licensing-updates-and-upgrades-work-FAQ
For example. If I buy 01.03.2023 r. (March 2023) version 16.x i will not download version number 17.x that release 01.11.2023 r. (I will have licence to 01.03.2024 r)
- Question is: That is the true?
- Does applies only perpetual Licence?
- Could I download next version of Caputre One Pro if i'll be have subscription to 1 March 2024 ? 17.x ?

No, I think you're not an AI bot, but I assume the spam text from Firstname Lastname could be written by one.

Sorry Mancebo, I'm not a subscriber but my understanding of it is that whilst your subscription is active you can use any version you like.

BeO thanks for answer. I didn't know early how it works.
Ian Wilson I'm not BOT :)

Not you, Mancebo - I meant the response from "FirstName LastName". My suspicions have been confirmed by the fact that it has now been edited to add a link to some spurious dodgy URL.
Why doesn't Capture One get their act together and at least ban accounts from using FirstName LastName as their name?

Because that's the default user name that the forum software generates until the user changes it, Ian - it might be from a legitimate user who hasn't realised they can/should replace that name with one of their own choosing.
The wider question of Capture One's apparent complete unwillingness to do anything about the spam on the board is well asked, though - the poxy bloody stuff is everywhere, and if anything, it seems to have gotten worse since we started getting active moderation...

Presumably the forum software could be set up so that the user cannot post before they had chosen a name. A high proportion of the spammers appear as FirstName LastName.
And I agree that they seem to be inexplicably unwilling to tackle the spam issue.
