What problem do you see this solving?
Using the wonderful speed edit keys alongside key remapping means I can fly through even fairly involved wedding edits without the need to trudge between mouse and keyboard. Specifically I have mapped nearly all of my speed edit functions to a game controller to prevent wrist injury.
However, image navigation/ selection requires that the film strip be clicked/highlighted/ actively selected. Thus clicking anywhere else turns navigation keys (arrow keys) into setting modifiers. I would love the option for a captive navigation function. This, in my mind, would be activated similarly to 'select next when' via a hotkey or toggle and, when active, would relegate arrow keys and their select modifiers like shift for multi image exclusively to navigating between images. Honestly, in my 12+ years of editing I have never intentionally used arrow keys to adjust sliders or settings.
This would allow users to move to a new image, use the mouse for whatever setting isn't key definable and then immediately continue editing and navigation without having to remember to re-select or highlight the film strip.
Would also love to see even more settings get speed edit support, but this navigation hiccup would be a HUGE win.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
I am using a controller to subjugate my wrist issues. However this would apply to any input device, including simply keyboard in a more common speed edit keys use case.
