I am having the same fault with a 15" mac book pro and mile camera shooting tethered.

Thanks, I have upgraded to OS 10 and is running fine now, What cable do you recommend, i was looking a the Tether Tools one? (I do have powered USB Hub).

If upgrading both MacPro and MacBook Pro, what specs would you recommend for C1, tethered with Mac Pro and post work on macpro? Are there faster/better cable options with D800?

Thanks apprecaite the information, my MacBook Pro does have plenty of ram and space on HD, i have avoided upgrading OS as its running the same as my MacPro 1.1.
