My C1 for Sony crashed periodically since 9.2 also, but after this recent update of Windows 10, now C1 is frozen upon opening. I have to close it with ctrl/alt/del.

Well. Looks like C1 v. 9 doesn't open if I have an SDHC card in the slot. For whatever reason, I removed the card and C1 finally opened after an hour of hanging. Note to self: in the future, rem...
