I'm still having the problem on and off even though I use short names now. I can't find a pattern to it. My output is 16bit TIFs too, sometimes on my c:\\ drive, sometimes on an external hard disk.

Well, I did a batch of (only) 50 files in folders with short filenames and it worked flawlessly, so maybe we're getting somewhere there.I should have the opportunity to do bigger batches this weeke...
