I noticed that if I close the viewer before closing capture one, it retains the position, but as soon as I close capture one while the viewer is open, its position will reset.

Funny, it's the same guy that replied.

Seems like they can't reproduce it at all, made me uninstall everything and install back, had to redo all my preferences and catalogs, which was a pain, but in the end it didn't fix anything.

It never shows any updates for me as well, I have to check the website release note myself to find it.

I know, it's only the reference that gets corrupted. I like to have all my photo on a separate drive and keep the catalog and cache on a faster SSD drive. Everything is setup in categorized folders...
