Apply template to existing catalogs, possible?

Hi.

I'm new to catalog templates.

After saving a template I would love to be able to apply it to existing catalogs but don't see how I would do that.

Asking because the user collections criterias will change over time and changes applied in one catalog will be relevant to others.

Do you know if this is at all possible, or if there is a logical and not too time-consuming workaround?

  Perhaps you could create a new empty catalog using the template you want, and then import the old catalog into the new one? (Never done this - just guessing what might work. You could create a small test catalog to try it on first.)

  Ian, yes I thought about that, was just hoping it might be possible the other way around; to apply a template that is. Will try this after devloping the template a bit further.
