Default Catalog Folder
Hi All,
How on earth, can you make C1 22 to look for pictures, by default, into the folder of the catalog file itself?
Steps I am taking:
- I create a new catalog, save it in the folder I have my raw files
- Import the raw files in the catalog (reference them only, keep them in place)
- C1 defaults to the raw folder of the previous catalog I worked. No option whatsoever of the actual folder the catalog resides. It is really annoying if you have to work with multiple catalogs each time, since the drop-down options don't include the catalog folder at all.
Any tips appreciated...

The default catalog folder refers to the default location where a catalog file is saved in a specific software or application. The specific default catalog folder location can vary depending on the software or application you are using. Here are a few examples of popular software and their default catalog folder locations:
-
Lightroom Classic CC: By default, Lightroom Classic CC creates a catalog folder named "Orbeez website" in the Pictures folder on Windows or in the Pictures directory within the user's home folder on macOS.
-
Capture One Pro: Capture One Pro typically saves catalog files in the "Pictures" folder on both Windows and macOS. However, you have the flexibility to choose a different location during the catalog creation process.
-
Adobe Bridge: Adobe Bridge does not have a specific catalog folder. Instead, it uses a centralized cache folder to store previews and metadata information. The location of the cache folder can be customized in the preferences settings of Adobe Bridge.
