Sluggish editing with Ricoh GR III DNG files

I've been an avid user of Capture One for the past three years using Fujifilm cameras of all different sorts. The experience has been great, with a snappy editing experience.
After recently having purchased a Ricoh GR III, Capture One feels very sluggish through the entire process of importing, editing and exporting and I'm wondering if there is anything I'm missing. Ricoh GR III's DNG files does seem to be supported by Capture One.
I have tried turning hardware acceleration on and off without any luck.

Capture One 22 15.4.3.4
MacBook Air M1 with 16GB on Ventura 13.2.1.
The camera has the latest firmware update.
