    I'm curious what other major, perpetually licensed non-destructive raw editing package provides free RAW format updates nearly two years after the program was released or after the next major version has already been released?

    Back when I was a Lightroom perpetual license user, I always had to buy the latest version/upgrade in order to get support for the newest cameras.  Lightroom is now, of course, now only available via subscription, but when it was available as a perpetual license, they had close to the same policy as Capture One.  As an example, once LR version 6 was released, Adobe was no longer doing RAW updates for version 5.  If you wanted support for a newish RAW file format, you had to buy/upgrade to LR6.

    You do realize that Capture One Pro 22 was shipped two years ago and there have been multiple releases since then.  Per the camera support page, it appears that 7RV file support was added in v16.0.1 which was Capture One Pro 23.

    Do you believe you were ever fully aligned with the C1 application?

    Did you ever feel comfortable with it?
