Relink lost images on a batch
Hi guys, I had to rearrange my image storing on my hard drive and moved the images within C1 (16.3) to the new locations. Due to the often frozen application and shutdown some connections unfortunately got lost :-/
Now my question / issue I struggle with: How can I reconnect them on a batch? (single "finding" and "connecting" works, but there are too many). When I select all the images containing a "?" in one folder C1 only reconnects the first one and leaves the others out.
Thanks for your ideas, Ralf

The only batch options possible and known to me are in the form of code written by you and working on catalog's database file using the contextual information (how did you move/rename and where) on how to find and recognize missing files listed in this database. I don't think there are ready solutions yet, maybe someone had this problem and could share their solution, but most likely that would be "dirty coding" applicable only to their scenario and you would need to know language used by them to adapt their code to your needs.

Thanks Marcin, that does not sound really great. I hoped that here would be a possibility that C1 recongnizes and rejoin the lost connections when relinking ("finding") the first image in one folder looking by itself at the other images - maybe as LR or Adobe InDesign does, when external reffered files (images, pdf's, etc...) got disconnected.
I keep looking for some further suggestions. Otherwise I'll contact the technical support on monday... Thanks so far.0 -
Have a look at this request. As mentioned there, if it's a case of whole folders missing, you can relocate the folders themselves. If not, the only option is to edit the database using an SQLite editor.
