Image is a :"managed file" inside catalog but when original location is offline, image shows up as "offline"...........
I have a catalog that contains managed files and when the disk that contained the image is taken offline the image shows up as "offline" and you can't edit the file or regenerate previews. Also if you show image location either with show in library or finder C1 indicates the in library or if the disk is online, the file. If I drag one of the supposed "managed files" onto the in library folder C1 asks whether to move the file. Even if I move the file, the number of files "in catalog" doesn't change. If the disk is taken offline the file still shows offline.

Run a File > Verify Catalog.
Add an external folder to the catalog, drag files there, verify again. Then drag files back into catalog?

Hi Walter, The catalog verification found and corrected one issue related to a project file.
Followed your suggestion and it resulted in all the images being in an unsupported format or the proxy creation failing. Pretty much the entire catalog is corrupted. Fortunately, I had a backup.
