Want to move .cos-files (with my picture adjustments) to a new session with the same RAW-files

Hi, I have a problem. I was editing in a session but it kept crashing and I couldn´t work there anymore. I started a new session with the same raw-files and read that you can transfer the old .cos-.files to a new session and the changes are saved in those files if you replace them. I did this, but nothing happens with the pictures. I even restarted capture one. It would be really nice if it could be done. I´ve been adjusting the pictures for like 12-15h when the session stopped working :/

Anyone who got a solution to this really annoying problem? (I´m running Capture 20)
