Question for Capture One Cultural Heritage users (DAM?)
Do users of Capture One Cultural Heritage software and related Digital Transitions products (https://dtdch.com/capture-one-ch/) follow this forum?
I'm curious to know what you use for a DAM (I am assuming that Capture One CH is used only for image acquisition and is not sufficient for cataloguing). Based on my preliminary research, I understand that some larger institutions that use Capture One CH often use a custom DAM and an enterprise-style web publishing product such as ContentDM or Omeka to share archives on the web. What do smaller institutions use for a DAM?
Some background... I'm a Media Pro refugee looking for a DAM replacement on a Mac; I'm aware of the current single-user DAM options on the market (Lightroom, Photo Supreme, iMatch, etc.) but since my image cataloguing needs are more similar to a library or archive (compared to a studio or event photographer), I thought perhaps a digital archivist or librarian who uses CO CH at a smaller institution can recommend some different options. It's likely that we've all stomped over the same DAM ground many times before, but who knows...
