Does Capture One Pro have a 'lights out'?
Hello. I have just started using Capture One Pro 10 after years of using Lightroom. In LR there was a lights out option to black-out the whole screen except the actual photograph. Does Capture One have a similar option? I cannot find anything. Help?

As far as I know it does not.
It does have full screen mode.
Full screen on my Mac goes dark except for the image.
Full screen on my PC just gets rid of the menu & toolbar at the top of the screen.
Either way you could make something similar to a 'lights out' mode by setting the background to black and going to the 'View' menu and hiding all of the items on the screen you don't want to be there (tools, tool bar, browser, etc) and entering full screen mode. Then save that as a work space so you can quickly toggle between the two.0 -
Thanks very much for your reply. I have tried what you said and it works, thanks. It's definitely 'round the houses' though. They should have this as a one key tool. Something else I am surprised this software doesn't have is a simple way to compare before/after. This should be a single button tool also.
I quite like Capture One, but I have to admit I have my doubts. RAW processing software should have these tools easy to use, especially considering how pricey this software is.
Thanks very much again.1 -
There is quite a simple way to compare before and after. Hold the Alt key while clicking the Reset all Adjustments button on the toolbar.

Or create an original variant (or a variant from any previous level of edit if you plan for it) and put them up side by side on screen.
Prefer to toggle between them in single image display mode?
No problem, select both and use the arrow keys to rotate between them.
HTH.
