Settings not applied
I was given folders of .IIQ files for retouching, and in each folder it contains the .IIQ file, the .cof file, the .cop file, and the .cos settings file. But when I drop them into a session I created for processing, the settings aren't applied. I know because they also gave me jpegs. Any clues as to why this not working??
Thanks

To Clarify:
Were you given the IIQ files, etc. in a single folder? Or did the folder contain EIP files?
If you have flat folders of IIQ, .cos, etc that might be the problem since C1 sessions expect the folders for the Original files to have subfolders for Cache (Preview and Thumbnails) and Settings nnn (Edit data such as the .cos files).
If you have been sent flat folders that might be the problem. Try to create the subfolders and distribute the other files for one of the images to find out if you can then edit that image as expected with the provided adjustments.

Each folder contains the IIQ, the COF, the COP and the COS, along with the capture one created folder containing the settings folder. No EIP were given and I can't get them in time from the photographer. Is there some way to apply or direct Capture one to the COS file? It seems crazy that it's not working. 0 -
Assuming you are working in a session, you'd expect Capture One to create a Capture One subfolder of any folder that you look at the images in. (So in this case, the folder with the IIQ file(s) in it.) That Capture One subfolder will have sub-subfolders for
- Settings120 where it will have created .cos files
- Cache with sub-sub-subfolders for
- Proxies: containing .cof files and .cop files (the proxies, or previews)
- thumbnails: containing .cot thumbnail files.
If you have been given .cos files in the same folder (not the subfolder) as the IIQ files, Capture One won't look at them and see what the adjustments are. But you could (outside Capture One) copy the .cos file into the Settings120 subfolder to over-write what is there. You might have to tell your file system that, yes, you really do want to do that, and you might want to have copied the existing .cos file off somewhere for safe keeping, in case it all goes wrong. Also there may be .comask files if any of the images have had layer masks applied already. If so copy those into the Settings120 folder too.
Try it on one image, and see whether it works, after suitably copying the previous state to be sure you can go back.
