Sony A7II unable to use focus tool when tethered

When I have my A7II tethered in Capture One 20, the focus tool adjustment arrows are all greyed out. I've tried switching the camera's autofocus modes and autofocus areas but I still can't remotely adjust focus in capture one. Am I missing something here?
