If you do not want any C1 interpretation or edits of the source file use Open With instead of Edit With.

SFA, thank you for your comment.

Of course I would like to use C1 edits but is it not possible to do the edits etc and then transfer it to Photoshop without C1 creating a tiff file?

I hope I made my self clear, I don't know how to describe it differently

Ah, so you want the tiff file bit to save it somewhere else.

Since the tiff file with the changes has to be produced to give PS something to work with that the software can recognise AND there is an assumption that the C1 catalogue or session most likely needs to be aware of the activity, the intermediate file is created next to the source file. It will be updated after PS if you Save the result. Or not updates if you "Save As" to a different location of which C1 will be unaware unless you take steps to set things up to include the preferred location.

I'll leave it to others (who use external editing more in their workflow than I use it in mine) to give you some definitive advice but I think the simple thing would be to Save the tiff back to the local location and then Move it to wherever you wish to put it.

That would seem to offer the easiest option for working with the file and making C1 aware of the file's ultimate location.

Probably that is the easiest solution:) Thank you very much for your efforts.

    Have a great day.
