Prevalence of problems
Every time I consider upgrading I look at the Forum and count up the bad and good experiences with the newest version and wonder what to do. Some Forum members respond to posts saying they are not experiencing a problem, but rarely does anyone make a post just to tell us they did not have a problem.
The Forum reflects the reported issues, but not the percentage of users having them. The only way to know the probability of having a problem when upgrading would be to survey a statistically valid sample of users and report the results.
The problem is software companies like Capture One do not see an upside in this. Is there a way to interest Capture One in doing a user satisfaction survey and reporting it to the users?

Maybe. But you can decide yourself when to update or upgrade. That is the trick. That applies not only to Capture One but to other software and mainly the operating system macOS.
That is the kind of control many users seem to neglect, but it is the only tool you have and a very effective tool too.
For example, Capture One 20 (13.1.0) is released with some spectacular features. Will you update now, or wait for 13.1.1 or perhaps 13.1.2?
I do not recommend to wait, I do recommend to ask yourself what the impact would be of potential downtime and if you are willing to take that risk?
