Automatic startup of capture one

I want to disable automatic start of capture one upon insertion of SD card but can't find where or how. I did check off importing in preference but this aparently prevents automatic importing and I just don't want the program to start every time I insert a card

  If this is a Mac, you need to change settings in the Image Capture app - that is what controls what opens when you insert a card.

  Edited to add: see the instructions here: . It's about the Photos app, but it can equally apply to Capture ONe. Scroll down to Method 2 Stop the Photos app from launching using Image Capture and follow the instructions to set the option to None when you insert the card.
