Capture 1 Trial compatibility

Hoping someone can help. I am wanting to trial capture 1 and it says Compatible with Mac OS 10.10.5 or 10.11. I am using OS Sierra 10.12.1 - so can I not trial it?

  Capture One 9.3 is compatible with Sierra, no problem. 😊

  It should be fine. A post in this forum viewtopic.php?f=61&t=24580
  suggests that Sierra is supported for version 9. That is most likely the current trial as version 10 has not been released.
  It should be fairly soon. I think if you use up your 30 day free trial then you may have another 30 days when ver10 is released and it becomes the free trial.
  Usually support is dropped for older OSx. For instance an old workhorse running OS X 10.6.8 can only run CO ver 7.
  Versions 8 & 9 will not work. When CO ver 10 comes out it will only run on OS X 10.11 or OS X 10.12.
  Having said that version 8 will run on OS X 10.10.5
