How you become true colors in C1?
Hello, i shoot various clothes for a catalogue at one place with Models and at a other place as ghostmanequin. At the past i shoot this tethered with the Canonsoftware and calibrate the colors from both shootings with the colorchecker passport in Bridge/CameraRaw. I like to do the tethered shooting and post complete in C1, but we know DNG Profiles not working in C1.
Ok, i do a Test. My first step was i do the WB with a Greycard in Camera (5DmkIII). The Problems starts with the WB in Software, ACR gives me a little bit warmer look (6500K -2) as C1 (6113K -2,3). At this point for me looks the WB in C1 better.
My next step was too check the colors. Which gives me the best result in colors? Ok, i cut different pictures together (WB in ACR, WB in C1, with DNG-Profile in ACR and Automatic correktion in C1) and hold the colorchecker Passport beside my Monitor (calibratet Eizo). For me the best result in true colors i became with DNG-Profile from the colorchecker Software in ACR. Unfortunately the original colors are with the DNG-Profile in ACR. I dont understand why C1 not work with x-rite or x-rite with C1. For me at the moment C1 is the best RAW-Converter with a big color profile problem.
How i can become the same color, from different shootings in C1? How you do that in C1 that you become the correct colors? Very sad my workflow looks like shooting tethered in C1 working in ACR.

That's interesting.......most people including myself, have noticed superior color in Capture One as compared to LR/ACR. I've done a bunch of side by side comparisons and every time C1 looks better to me without touching a thing. The profiles are different from camera to camera, so could be that issue or sometimes the camera itself is just different. I had that problem with my 5D2 when I shot Canon. The colors weren't even close to accurate in ACR/LR and I had to build a custom profile. Was shocking how far it was off 0 -

"Most" people? Care to cite some evidence for that?
Because what I know is that on this very forum there are - literally - hundreds of posts complaining about Capture One's colour rendering.
The Lightroom forum hosted by Adobe is massively busier than this forum, and yet there are practically no complaints about Lightroom's colours.0
