Can't copy adjustments all of a sudden

I have discovered and been trying techniques described in the PO YouTube videos. Now, all of a sudden, I can adjust one image, select others, but not have the adjustments copied to the other files. What have I changed by mistake?

    Perhaps you switched off the Edit Selected Variants toggle (Sh+Ctrl+E or Edit menu or button on toolbar), assuming you run 5.1.x
