What's the cheapest way to get Capture One Pro 12?

Good morning from Australia,

I (like a few of you) been lucky enough to get a 50% off discount. Would it be cheaper for me to get the Sony pro ( or express) edition and upgrade to the full pro or just buy pro outright?

Also what's the upgrade price from Sony express/pro to full pro?

    Probably.

    It used not to be the case but recently the pricing structure seems to have become a little more complex to take into account the period of existing ownership for upgrades - in effect there is a different upgrade price depending on which version one is upgrading from.

    I have not stumbled across a full price list for a while. That's not to say one does not exist but as upgrades are tailored to existing licences there would be no real need to publish them for operational purposes.

    I doubt that there is much if any benefit in buying the Sony Pro version and then upgrading to full Pro.

    Express is free anyway so unlikely to be a factor in any upgrade decision.
