Rotating JPGs
I downloaded the 3.7 trial and tried it on my PowerBook running Tiger. I am trying to rotate jpgs, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Am I not waiting long enough for it to rotate the files? How long should I be waiting?
I'm using a Nikon D70 and the camera automatically rotates the images in-camera. But when I bring them into C1 they are not rotated. Why can't it rotate jpgs? I can rotate NEFs with no problem.
It's not a major problem, but it is annoying. If this is the way the software operates, I'll have to think hard about buying it.

I have the same problem with my 1DMKII and Tiger, very frustrating if you are shooting portraits, there must be a way to change the setting, someone please help?
Also is it posible to save the images to he memory card aswell as the laptop?

Dean,
Some times the in-camera rotation can only be interpreted by the camera software only. For Capture One - Yes, this is how the software works. Capture One is for adjusting and processing RAW image files using the most sophisticated algorithms available. As you've discovered, you can use Capture One for browsing JPEGs and TIFFs, but cannot make any image adjustments whatsoever.
If working with RAW image files, Capture One is what you need. For working with JPEGs, there are a lot of softwares out there, some even Free for rotating, adjusting, naming files, etc,.
photogenics >>> if I understand you correctly, you're wondering if image adjustments can be saved to the CF card RAWs and to the computer. Capture One does not alter RAW files whatsoever. All image adjustments data is saved to the Thumbnail file and can be saved/archived.
Sincerely,
k c0
