P30 error in Windows7 64 bits

    The issue could be power related.
    Are you using an externally powered Firewire repeater hub?

    I`m not sure. I use the onboard firewire on my mainboard. The cable works fine. I ve tested it on a mac.
    My mainboard is a MSI h67ma-e45.

    The cable may be fine but the Firewire port may not be able to provide enough power to the back. Please look into using an externally powered hub.

    I am referring to the use of a Firewire Repeater Hub.
