Considering Upgrade to 10.x - Quadro P1000 GPU Support?
Hi all,
currrnelty I am running Capture One 6 Express.
To speed up the application, I'd like to use the GPU, too.
To be able to use this, I need a newer version of Capture One, right?
I am thinking of buying a Quadro P1000 based card, as they are able to run more than one Monitor a 4K and 60 Hz, and still quite small and not consuming that much power, which is important as my PC case is quite small.
Is the P1000 a supported GPU in Capture One 10 Pro?
And by the way: Is the activation still the same as it was in Version 6: Connect once quickly to the inernet, activate, and from that time on no internet access needed?
Thanks for your help.

I'd opt for the RX580, supports multiple 4K displays through it's 3x DisplayPort 1.4 (and AMD kicks butt in OCL) and is around 270% the performance of the Quadro... 0 -

The OP did say he had a small low powered machine, the RX580 requires at least a 500W power supply to be fitted to the host machine.0 -
Hi all,
tahnk you for the answers. I tried a P600 in the meanwhile, using the test Version of Capture One 10.1. It works perfectly using that card. Indeed, I have a 300W power supply only.
But as I had to learn, 10.1 is very different to the Version 6 I use. It is no longer simply browsing over directories, catalog import is required now. That's a bit pitty, not the kind of workflow I'd prefer.

If you have the Pro version you still have the session functionality as per Version 6.
Only the "Express for Sony" version is restricted to Catalogue functionality.

you can get small form factor PSU..0 -
Sure, wouldn't be a problem to buy a bigger PSU, it is Standard ATX. But then you end up changing a lot of other things , too, especially if you don't want the PC to be any nosier than currently. I don't use any other case fans than the one in the PSU. This is enough for a 35W low power i3 CPU and the P600 graphic card. When adding a high power gamer graphic solution, typically you have to switch to water coooling to get a PC as silent as the one I have now.
The GPU Speed of the P600 Card is good enough for my needs. Besides Caputure One, I use ACDSEE, too. ACDSEE is using this GPU and it is really fast like that, about 10 times faster reacting on changes in the RAW development module than before.0
