SPOT REMOVAL on 5.x
Hi, I'm using C1 with Nikon d3 and d2x cameras, and I can't remove the dust spots on the photos. The user guide says "select the dust on the menu and use the spot tool". In the spot removal menu I have only "type: grain" and not "dust", and when I use the tool it doesn't affect the image...
Anyone can help me? C1 is a wonderful program... and I would avoid to open the pics in Photoshop just to remove the spots...

Are on 5.0.1? Do you use Pro? Spot removal is a CO 5.x Pro only option. 0 -

It works best on even surfaces. In the preview it seems not much happens, but check the output (processed file). 0 -

How to...
I select the 'Remove Spot (o)' tool from the cursor tools or go to the Spot Removal tool on the Details tab. Here I can not only select the tool but also set the Radius to a proper value. Next, I go with the cursor (now a circle with a cross) to the spot in the viewer and click on it. An orange circle remains on the location of the spot I clicked on.

Currently it can only correct actual dust... I.E. small soft spots. It will likely be expanded in the future to correct for more spot type errors. 0
