Pictures and Metadata reload from scratch on every startup

    Where have you stored the catalog (folder with the database). Is it also on the NAS or on a local hard drive. If on NAS, copy (or move) it to the internal hard drive and open the copy.

    I assume you check the metadata sync setting in Preferences, but you set it to None.

    Thank you for your reply.

    The catalog is on my local harddisk (no SSD). And yes, I tried all three types of "Metadata reloading" but didn't recognize any difference. Is it common, that the metadata loads on every startup (Keyword counters are increasing when "All photos" is selected)?

    No, it is not. I suggest you contact support on this as it seems out of band behavior.
