Sigma 24mm 1.4 HG DSM (Art) support?

Hi,

Not sure where to look for info, but can one reasonably expect support to be added for the Sigma 24mm/1.4 (a great wide IMHO) and if so what is the usual time frame when adding support for new lenses?

  Let's see if I can offer a helpful response.
  
  Outside the more obvious of the camera manufacturer lenses (and one might assume whatever Sony requests to have included or for which they provide their own adjustment values) the Capture One team will respond to user registered requests based on the level of interest - i.e. the number of requests received. Bear in mind this testing and evaluation is done in house. Sometimes the significance of a lens is such that it may be supported anyway but the best advice would be to create a Support Case so that the support team have can measure the degree of interest in the lens with a view to obtaining a sample or two and putting them through the assessment process.
  
  Bear in mind that this forum is, essentially, user to user rather than an official support channel for Phase. So whatever I write as a user is by no means official. However it is based on previous statements from the Team so I think it should be good and current advice.

  As for being an optimist as the other, less helpful, poster suggested then yes I am. But the request did not seem very far fetched as they do support most other Sigma primes (including the 50mm Art IIRC).
