Nikon D810 white balance set for Jpeg
Howdy Fellas,
First time poster here. I've recently come from the dark side where I use Phocus with my hasselblad system.
I have been entertain the idea of shooting my studio work with Nikon and am trying out the Capture 1 software. The white balance eyedropper works great,I almost always set the color with a grey card, but I can't figure out how to keep that color adjustment when I shoot the next jpeg image. It works in RAW and TIFF formats.
Why would it not work in Jpeg? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Do you shoot tethered? If so, is RAW only not a better option? (that does not answer your question, but can work towards a solution). 0 -

Yes, I am shooting tethered.0 -
With RAW the white balance is applied in Capture One, assuming you use the Next Capture Adjustments feature.
With JPEG it is a different story. First, the white balance setting in the camera is processed. It is fixed. When the come into Capture One during tethering, the WB value you applied and is prolongated does have a minimal effect on a JPEG compared to RAW.
