Color editor
Hi there
I have a Sony A7ii and bought Capture One to go with it. C1's been fine and produces some lovely images.
I have just noticed that the Color Editor tab has no effect. So nothing happens if I click on the expand button for that suite of options.
Technical Support more or less brushed me off with a Youtube video so here I am. I have tried reinstalling and still get the same problem. My first thought that it was a corrupted download but it's not.
Any ideas?
Thanks for help

Do you mean the Color Editor tool or the Color tool tab?So nothing happens if I click on the expand button for that suite of options.
What expand button?0 -
On the third row down on the left hand side there is a group of icons, one of which is 3 circles joined together and it denotes a group of functions relating to colour management.
If I click on that there are a number of options such as Base Characteristics. I am talking about the Color Editor option. If I click on the > sign which has a tooltip when you mouse over it and that tool tip says Expand.
If I click on that I get none of the options that various youtube videos suggest I should. It's like that vital part of the program simply doesn't exist.
Hope that's a bit clearer and thanks for any help.0 -

OK, this is the "Color tool tab".If I click on that there are a number of options such as Base Characteristics. I am talking about the Color Editor option.

Very weird. Works just fine here. What exactly do you get? Nothing at all? What if you "detach" the tool from the tool tab by clicking and dragging it?0 -
It seems to work as long as I don't have it under the color tool tab.
It's a bit weird but at least you've helped me find a workaround.
Much appreciated!0 -

What is the vertical pixel size of your screen? The "bug" might be related to the fact that you don't have enough screen real estate vertically for the tool to expand.0 -
The problem seems to relate to the software somehow. My screen is a 4k UHD TV so it has plenty of space! And the color editor tool works fine as long as it's not in the actual color management section.
My feeling is that it is Windows - my installation of 10 can't always maintain a wired internet connection without DNS issues (not something my LInux partition has a problem with). A quick Google search revelaed no problems like this at all with other C1 users. I'd do a fresh install but lost my old W8 DVD. All's well that ends well.
Appreciate your help.0 -
Hi,
A possible solution to this problem which appears to be specific to Windows 10:
- Start menu | PC Settings
- System, Display...
- In Display make sure that the slider named "Change the size of text, apps, and other items... is set to 100%0
