highlight warning

When the highlights are blown out, I reduce them both with the HDR slider & the highlight control on the color balance tool. I can't decide if one is preferable to the other. Any thoughts? thanks.

  The highlight control In the colour balance tool darkens the brightest parts of the image (the top one third or so of the range). The highlight slider on the HDR tool is more targeted to the very top of the range and recovering blown out highlights. As to which is better to use - whichever gets your image looking most like you want it!
