New 2012 Imacs and H 20 really slow
27-inch, Late 2012
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
Running lastest and greatest COP. So we are using Blad 503CW with H20 and connecting to thunderbolt via FW 800 adapter/TB and then using a firewire sonnet 800 to 400 adapter we are using a Firewire hub.
We can thank apple for killing the FW800 ports and not giving power to the TB port!!! Not Cool!
Sometimes files come in quick and sometimes they come in slow like 8 seconds which really disrupt the shoot.
Any thoughts!

Cable Quality? Length?
Can you see that something is connected to the Thunderbolt port in System Profile?
My guess is that the Thunderbolt port is having difficulty negotiating for such an old Firewire Device/driver. I you can use the same hardware on a system with native Firewire, you'll have your answer and can bring your findings to Apple.0
