Server solution
Hi
I'm wondering if CaptureOne offers a server solution?
I have a mac mini server, and I want to put my catalogue on the server. And I want to access that catalogue from my other computers. Is this possible?
Right now i have to close my catalogue so a client computer can access it, and it is very slow, even on my home LAN.
Is the server solution quicker?

At present there isn't a server based solution to your issue. Being frank, there are only a few software solutions on the market right now that play well with shared access - and most of them aren't that great.
Without stepping up to an enterprise grade file management system, my strong recommendation to address your specific solution would be to organize your files using a folder/directory based organizational method that isn't dependent on a catalog based application. Then you have the option to use Bridge or PhotoMechanic to search/filter via metadata and don't have to deal with lock files and having to close catalog software as you move from computer to computer.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you for your reply
What is the thing with CaptureOne with 5 seats??? Is this not a server thing?
