Life cycle of each version of Capture One Pro?

Is it normally 1 or 2 years?
I am tempted to upgrade to V7 pro but I do not want to get it if there is V8 pro around the corner. I am fine with using V6 but if there is at least another year or so with V7, I will more likely get it.
