Adjustments not saving when tethering a canon 5Dsr

I am having trouble shooting tethered with my Canon 5Dsr. When I take a photo and make adjustments, eg. exposure, crop, colour correction, using the tools tabs, usually these will automatically be applied to the next image each time I shoot a new photo. This is not happening, each time I shoot it resets and reverts back. This never happens with Phase One cameras and I can't figure it out.. I have tried making changes in the 'Next Capture Adjustments' tab, but it still won't work. I also can't edit the 'Camera - Orientation' options from the top tool bar either, these are all greyed out. Please help!!
