b&w shortcut?
Anyone know if there is a way to create a keyboard shortcut for B&W? I don't see an option in the shortcuts you can edit. Thanks.

I don't think so. What would you want it to do? Pull the saturation right down? Go to the Black and White tool and check the box to enable black and white? Apply a black and white style?

I'm looking for the quickest test to see if an image looks good in B&W. I think the fewest mouse clicks is to have the styles tool open & just hover the cursor over a style for a quick preview. 0 -
Or have the Black and White tool open, perhaps Floating, and click on Enable Black and White.
Or have the Exposure tool open and click on the end of the saturation adjustment to set a 0 value.
Of course the Styles option provides for more nuanced B&W conversions but if you are just seeking to decide whether there might be some mileage in considering B&W then other options may suffice.0 -

As SFA has mentioned Styles are perfect for what you want to do as you can just mouse over the various B&W styles to assess the potential for an image in B&W. It is helpful to have a range of styles for assessment purposes. Thomas Fitzgerald's T-Pan styles are very inexpensive and might be worth considering if you don't want to make your own.

Thanks Ian. I subscribe to pixaFOTO & they send a few free styles now & then, some are my favorites.
